Struggling after the loss of my dad

My dad passed away in his sleep this past September. I was shocked and could barely drive home. I was finishing my doctorate and had to repress the memory of his death simply to finish in time. However, I then finally started experiencing my grief two or three months after he had passed and moved across the country to start my current position (this position was set up months before my dad passed). I have always had a strong drive in my professional life, but I have no desire to work anymore. I struggle to make it through the week and then spend most of the weekend reading and sleeping. This is, of course, taking a toll at my job. 

I'm trying to cope with my dad's death so that I might be able to find enjoyment in life again, but I find this very difficult. For months, I had no appetite and now I eat largely based on what is required and best for me, not what I want to eat. The only enjoyment I gain in life is reading and spending time with my family (who, unfortunately, live across the country now). 

I'm looking for any advice or suggestions as to what I can do to re-gain some enjoyment in life and work that I've always had.
